Happy Indigenous People’s Day

October 11, 2021

The summer after my college graduation, I had the opportunity to live on the Northern Cheyenne reservation in Montana. In honor of Indigenous People’s day, I wanted to share a few reflections from my experience.  #1 – I’m not an expert First and foremost, I lived on the reservation for a summer. Creativity Unleashed.

Speculative Fiction,

Inspirational Presentations,

& Media Production.

Meet Joe! He enjoys almost anything creative—he’s dabbled in poetry, writing, art, painting, media, and woodworking—but if you ask him, he’ll tell you he’s hardly good at any of them. Right now, he’s focused on writing and publishing science fiction that explores the intersection of faith & science, technology & nature, and the overall human condition.  Joe loves watching T.V. comedies and reading science fiction.

He’s the science fiction editor for The Worlds Within and workshop facilitator for the Ohio Writers’ Association.

He grew up in Hicksville, Ohio as one of seven (!) kids, but now lives in Franklinton with his wife Allyssa and their son Finn. He is the lead pastor at Central City Church and Little Bottoms Free Store.

Another beautiful day! #bikeride
Beautiful day!
As our church moves into a permanent space we no longer need our mobile church trailer. If you know someone looking for a box trailer, we will offer a good deal. Ideally, looking for around $5000. Has a few dents and needs the clamp fixed, but the electrical and hitch and tires are all in good condition. It’s insulated, has brackets, and works great for loading large boxes on wheels, with additional ramp covers. Feel free to share with someone who might want a trailer.
Still doesn’t have baseboard, but we’re making the most of our newest room. This used to an a concrete floored front porch. Now it’s a part of our living room.
A thought from todays message on grace. I hope you can join us as we unpack one of the most important basic beliefs of our faith. 9:30am, in-person or online.
This Sunday we are continuing our series exploring basic theology: what do we believe about god, humans, etc. This week, I’ll be sharing some thoughts on a Christian theological understanding of humanity. Are we inherently good or evil? And in either case, how do we make sense of the good and evil we know humans are capable of? Addressing issues of justice, like poverty, racism, equality, etc, has to be done from compassionate and equatable understanding of humanity. I hope you will join us! Sunday at 9:30am, in person or online.
